Nicholas O. Russo, 69, of Syracuse passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital with his family by his side. A life resident of Syracuse, Nick was a hairstylist for over 40 years. He also was an original band member of Atlas.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa; daughters, Michelle (John) Uhelsky, Tara and Celeste Russo; son, Nicholas Russo; brothers, Charlie and Anthony Russo; grandson, John Anthony Uhelsky, III; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211.
