Rose Licata

Rose Arnone Licata, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday. Born in Italy, she resided in Syracuse for 54 years. Rose was a former employee of St. Joseph’s Hospital before working at GE for many years. She was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church, a member of the Moose Lodge in Solvay and St. Peter’s Rosary and Altar Societies. Rose is predeceased by her husband Joseph Licata and her granddaughter Christina Helgerson.

She is survived by daughter Cathy ( Dale) Helgerson of San Jose, CA; sons, John (Susan) Licata of Cicero, NY and Robert (Nancy) Licata of Syracuse, NY; brother, Frank Arnone of Rome, Italy; grandchildren, John Licata Jr., Renee (David) Simo, R.J.(Danielle) Licata, Michael Licata and Jason Helgerson and great-grandchildren, Julia Simo and Joseph Licata.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday 8:15 a.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. in St. Daniel’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
