Stephen J. Mraz

Stephen J. Mraz of Liverpool, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 14, 2012. Stephen is pre-deceased by parents Lacka and Mary Mraz and is survived by his wife: Michele Mraz, brother: James (Mary), three children: Chelsea, Stephen (Kristina) and Scott (Nicole), two grandchildren: Brandon and Meghan, several nieces (Kelly and Kristin) and nephews, “other son” Mike (Julie) Ward, sisters-in-law Dana and Rosemary and several long-time employees.

Born in Johnstown NY on June 7, 1949, Stephen spent nearly forty years in Johnstown with his brother and several great friends before moving to the Syracuse area. Stephen was an avid golfer, belonged to the Lakeshore Country Club and was a past Champion of the Saranac Open. Stephen enjoyed crossword puzzles, his annual trip to Maine with Michele, fishing, his beloved New York Yankees and Jets and he loved nothing more than watching Chelsea dance.

Calling hours will be Wednesday January 18, 2012 at the Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse N.Y. from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Funeral will be held on Thursday January 19, 2012 at Holy Trinity Parish, 205 Glebe Street, Johnstown NY at 12:00 PM. A memorial in Stephen’s name has been established on behalf of Catholic Charities (1654 West. Onondaga St., Syracuse NY 13204).
