

William C. Dorsey, 75, of Kirkville passed away on Sunday at Upstate Hospital. Born in Rochester he resided in Syracuse for most of his life. He graduated from Vocational High School. Mr. Dorsey served his country proudly in the National Guard for many years. William retired as a printer at Gaylord Brothers after 40 years of service. An avid golfer, he scored a hole-in-one at Burning Ridge Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an enthusiastic bowler in several classic leagues. William is predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Deanna Mucci.
He is survived by his beloved cat of 22 years, Sinkey; sister, Patricia Sylvester of Kirkville; nieces and nephews, Susan Bliss and Terry (Ron) Knaflewski of E. Syracuse, Peter L. (Sandra) Sylvester, John Sylvester and Nancy Conrad all of Kirkville; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kelly (Matt) Parker, Tricia Nunnally and Mechele Bliss all of E. Syracuse, Tracy (Chris) Rericha and Peter Sylvester, III both of Rochester, Laura Knaflewski of E. Syracuse, Collyn and Caitlyn Conrad both of Kirkville and Andrea Malerba of California; great great-nieces and great great-nephews, Emily and Isabelle Parker, Madison Mosher and Cailynn Bliss all of E. Syracuse, Akasha Nunnally, Kara Deets, Kayla and Noah Deets.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
