Amelia R. Fuentes

Amelia R. Fuentes passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the age of 59. She was born on October 30, 1953, in Taft, Texas, to Luis and Manuela Rivera. Amelia lived in Taft her entire life. She devoted her time to making a home for her family.She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Taft. Amelia will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Amelia was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Alonzo Rivera. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Monica (David) Marroquin and Gabriel (Regina) Fuentes both of Taft; mother, Manuela Q. Rivera of Taft; six grandchildren: David, Jr., Maura, Christopher, John David, Jayden and Vivian; sister, Amalia (Hector) Cavazos; brothers, Daniel Rivera and Luis Rivera, Jr. both of Taft; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013, 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
