I am very saddened to hear about Armand's passing. Five years ago I learned our our families relation and was able to talk on the phone with Armand a couple of times, he sounded like a great man and I wish I would have had the chance to meet him personally. Much love to his family.

" I worked with Armand at Marathon Oil and was a neighbor for many years in Taft. The memories of him are countless and I will always cherish the times we had together. "He was the funniest guy I will ever know". I remember the good times at work, our fishing trips, our car-pool talks, the parties he had, and just being around him. A couple years ago, we were lucky enough to visit Armand, Wanda, Tina, and David.  We all had a wonderful time, if you don't count the rare ice storm we brought with us.  That was the last time that we were all together and we returned to Indiana with even more memories.  We continued to stay in contact by phone spending most of the time talking about the good times, and of course making each other laugh. I will miss him forever and think of him always. I knew Armand through our neighbors at the time and friends Tina and David. My son Kole was a good friend of Brent's as they attended school and participated in sports together. I would see Armand during basketball season and I always enjoyed having conversation with him. He had a world of knowledge. After basketball games he would tell Kole and Brent how well they played and what they could do to improve. When my family moved to George West in 2004 Kole would play high school basketball games against Taft. I saw Armand at the games in Taft and he would always tell me how there was no way George West would beat Taft. During the 2004 and 2005 basketball seasons Taft and George West were 2 good teams. But he was right in that George West could not beat Taft in Taft. I enjoyed Armand very much.

My memories of Armand are many; was my Little League Coach for several years cause Les and I were on the same team several times...good teams at that.  His sense of humor always had us laughing no matter the situation.  I was fortunate to be on a deer lease with Armand for a few years in the late 80's and my oldest son got to be around Armand and thought he was a great guy...still remembers him while we hung out around the camp fire.  One of the best memories was when I decided to fish a tank for bass and Armand said there were no bass in the tank...he left the camp for a while and when he got back I had four bass...first thing he said "can I borrow your rod".  Just wish I would have more oppurtunities to see Armand as we have gotten older; really miss hanging out with the guys.  We couldn't have had a better childhood growing up in Taft with men like Armand helping us grow up the right way.

I grew up in Taft with Tina and Les and loved hanging out at Tina's house mostly because Armand was so much fun.  There was always laughter when you were around the Flory family.  One of the things I appreciated that Armand did for me was he allowed Gary Gene to throw the bachelor party for my husband at his barn.  He didn't know Van before that, but he did it for me and Gary Gene.  It made me feel special that he did that for me and that I did not have to worry about the guys getting into trouble.  That was just the kind of guy he was.  He worked hard and he played hard and he and Wanda raised a wonderful family that has meant so much to me through the years.  I love you all and will be praying that God will give you His peace during this time.

I have so many wonderful memories of Armand, I don't know where to begin, growing up with Tina being my  best friend, I was always around his house. He was a great dad who always tried to keep us in line. My favorite times were spent with them at Garner State Park. Every summer Armand would pack up the truck and take his family and their friends camping at Garner. I could go on and on with stories.... I loved Armand like a dad, he will be greatly missed.
