Gustavo Ramiro Castillo Sr, 72, of Taft, TX passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born January 8, 1946 in Taft, TX. He was a 1966 graduate of Taft High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War with the 20th Engineer Brigade. He was a member of the Taft VFW and parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church. He loved being outside watching his fruit trees grow.
He is survived by his children Gustavo Jr (Enna Luz), Majin (Laura), Elida, Elisa, and Elsa; his beautiful grandchildren, Felix, Alex, Alina, Miguel, Amarisa, and Alysa. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Ines, his son Felix Rene, his parents Rafael and Josefa Castillo, his brothers Rene and Rafael Castillo Jr., and half-brother Guadalupe Castillo.
The wake will be held on Sun., June 24, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 120 East Escobedo Street from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Mon., June 25, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Taft. Services will conclude after the Funeral Mass. Interment will held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Taft Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
