Hortencia Guerrero

Hortencia Guerrero entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the age of 86. She was born on April 28, 1930 to Manuel Martinez and Daniela Campa Martinez in San Antonio, Texas. Hortencia was a loving housewife and mother. As she entered the gates of Heaven, she was welcomed by her parents; two brothers, Santiago and Octaviano Martinez and two sisters, Aurora Ramos and Veva Cardenas. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of over 69 years, Octavio Guerrero of Taft, Texas; three sons, Alfredo Guerrero, Sr. of Yoakum, Texas, Ruben (Terri) Guerrero of Taft and Raymond (Rita) Guerrero of Ingleside, Texas; one daughter, Sonia (Carlos) Ortiz of Portland; two sisters, Celestina Hinojosa of Woodsboro, Texas and Ester Nunez of Washington State; five grandchildren, Karla, Freddie, Nicholas, Sarah and James and six great grandchildren. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Colonial Funeral Home in Taft with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Taft. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Taft.
