Maria A. Chavera

Maria A. Chavera of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was 83 and was a native of Taft, Texas. Maria was born on January 14, 1935 to Juan and Dorotea Aparicio also of Taft. She was married to Jose Chavera, Sr. for 44 years.

Maria is survived by her children, Albeisa Garcia (George), Veronica Garcia (Robert), Jose Chavera (Laura), Rolando Chavera (Martha); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On Monday, May 7, 2018, visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home and continued visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Taft Memorial Park.
