Maria Lupe Guadalupe Sanchez

Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Sanchez passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at the age of 88. She was born in Brownsville, Texas, on April 9, 1926, to Francisca and Manuel Tijerina, Sr. Lupe was a very caring lady and she always put others before herself.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Apolinar Sanchez; son, Juan Sanchez; sisters, Jesusa Saldivar and Refugia Hernandez.

Lupe will be loved and remembered by her children, Abel (Merida) Sanchez and JoAnn (Danny) Martinez; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Manuel Tijerina, Jr. and Ramon Tijerina.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 21, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Interment will follow at Taft Memorial Park.
