

Ted Alan Hunt went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the age of 58. He was born on November 22, 1955, in Sinton, Texas, to Floyd and Emma Lou Hunt. Ted graduated from Taft High School and lived and worked in the area all of his life. He was a third generation contractor in oil and gas construction and was a successful entrepreneur. Most of his adult life, he was the owner and president of T & T Construction located in Taft, Texas. In his spare time, Ted loved to fish. But he loved his girls, Tracy and Tedra, more and tried to be with them and his grandchildren as much as possible. He enjoyed hosting parties at his home where everyone was welcome and there was usually a large crowd. Ted was a wonderful and kind person and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by K. F. and Pearl Hunt and his parents, Floyd Hunt and Emma Lou Hunt Hughes.
Ted will always be loved and remembered by his daughters, Tracy (Ryan) Anderwald and Tedra (Justin) McCaughan; grandchildren: Tylie, Lillian, Madison, Emma, Aaron, Allison, Cash, Logan and Bryce; extended family, including Candace (Scott) Curtiss, Dustin (Jenna) Land, Corey (Brandi) Land, Noel Scarbrough and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 420 Green Ave., Taft, with Funeral Service to start at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Chuck Smith will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Taft Memorial Park.
