

Victoria M. Flores passed away on May 24, 2011, at the age of 76. She was born in Charco, Texas, on March 23, 1935, to Rosendo and Porfiria Montez. Victoria was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Taft, Texas. Mom belonged to the Guadalupana Society of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Federation of Our Lady of Guadalupe Society of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the Archiocofraternidad de la Basilica de la Virgin de Guadalupe.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons-in-law and six sisters.
Victoria is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Antonio Z. Flores of Taft; six daughters: Maria Alicia Ramos, Amalia (Ruben) Morales both of Taft, Juanita Rios of Corpus Christi, Gloria Tijerina of Aransas Pass, Texas, Estela (Glenn) Powers of North Zulch, Texas, Maria Elena (Troy) Stegall of Edmond, Oklahoma; four sons: Tony (Becky) Flores, Jr. of Portland, Texas, David M. Flores of Kempner, Texas, Johnny Joe (Estella) Flores and Jesus (Jeanette) Flores both of Taft; twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Guadalupe (Augustine) Gonzales, Juanita Garcia and Herminia Delgado all of Gregory, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service at Taft Memorial Park.
