

Abilene Lou “Abi” Brown Lawhead was born on October 19th, 1968 in Seminole, OK, the daughter of Amos and Saphronia Abilene (Carbitcher) Brown. She attended high school and graduated then began her studies at Bacone to become a nurse. She was a regular tomboy, she loved being outdoors, working on vehicles, and enjoyed an evening at the casino. She was a dedicated wife and mother to her sons, FVS-CHVTV Lawhead and a baby that passed in infancy, Baby Brown. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and made some of the best fried chicken, pigs-in-a-blanket, potato salad, ribs, chili tamale casserole and lemon pie! She did beautiful traditional beadwork in honor of her family heritage. She was proud of her Seminole and Creek heritage. She was very outgoing and had the personality to make you laugh, and loved to tease her family. She was always ready to help anyone and especially the family she loved so much. She loved time spent with the love of her life, Jonathan Lawhead. They enjoyed spending time relaxing and reading or doing puzzles. Her laugh and smile will be what you miss the most. She passed from this life on May 21st, 2025 in Muskogee, OK. She was 56 years old and will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father and a baby boy.
Those left to celebrate her memory include her husband, Jonathan Lawhead of Tahlequah, OK, her son, FVS-CHVTV Lawhead and companion April Pacheco of Arkansas, one grandson, LVM-HE Pacheco of Tulsa, OK, and a host of cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
