Adam Vann

Watts, OK - Funeral services for Adam Vann will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Souls Harbour Church at Chewey, OK with Pastor Gerald Fixin officiating. Pallbearers for Adam include David Russell, Jaron Soap, Eric Vann, Darin Sanders, Daylen Clouse, Kerry Whaler. Honorary pallbearers include Mario Pineda, Swain Vann, Willie Ryan Vann, Daran Vann, Christopher Clouse, Codey Soap, Treyshawn Jones, Jakobe Vann, Xander Denton, Mario Pineda Jr., and Jace Drywater. Flower girls for Adam are Nevaeh Sanders, Nakayah Sanders, Jocelynn Denton, Ashlynn Soap, Behati Jones and Baby Rylee Clouse.

Adam Vann was born on October 29th, 1960 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Willie and Willie Mae (Hogshooter) Vann. He was raised in a family of five brothers and three sisters. Adam attended and graduated from Westville High School. He worked in the construction industry as a laborer. He loved the outdoors, spending time with his dog, Jake and enjoyed a day spent fishing, hunting, or mowing the lawn and tending his yard. He spent time playing basketball with his friend Nathan “Jake”, as well as his nieces, and nephews. He was a backyard mechanic and loved to tinker with engines, and loved helping his friend Ed work cattle. Adam made friends quickly, loved people, and would go the extra mile just to help a friend or a total stranger. He was happy all of the time and this smile was given to everyone he met in a days time. Family was of great importance to Adam, he loved any chance to gather with his family for a meal or just a day resting with them. A Christian by faith, Adam was a member of the Illinois River Baptist Church near Watts. The Lord called Adam to his eternal home on August 3rd, 2015 with his family close by his side. Adam was 54 years old. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, children, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Adam has gone home to join his father, Willie Vann who passed in July, his grand daughter, Kerry Denise Whaler, brothers Jimmy Vann, Clifford Vann, and two nephews, Clifton”Buddy” Vann, and Bradley “Chase” Vann and one great nephew, Colton Brian Vann Foreman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Willie Mae Vann of the home in Watts, his adored children, Kelly Denise Whaler and husband Kerry and his son Eric Vann all of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves three sisters and two brothers, Cecil Vann and wife Sherry of Oaks, Daniel Vann of Salina, OK, Joyce Ketcher and husband Albert of Kansas, OK, Rosie Young and husband Steve of Chewey, OK, and Christina Fixin and husband Gerald of Rocky Ford, OK. He leaves his nieces, Beth Denton and husband Josh, Lydia Vann, Kandace Drywater, Kourtney Vann, Arlene Vann, Maggie Jones, Stacie Pineda and husband Mario, Ashley Soap and husband Jaron, Amber Clouse and husband Daylen, Angelina Sanders and husband Darin and Tyler Vann. His great nieces and nephews include Xander Denton, Jocelyn Denton, Jace Drywater, Swain Vann, Willie Ryan Vann, and Daran Vann, Treyshawn Jones and Behati Jones, Mario Pineda Jr., Ashlynn Soap, Codey Soap, Christopher Clouse, Baby Rylee Clouse, Nevaeh Sanders, Nakayah Sanders, Jakobe Vann, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
