Albert Lee Harlin was born in Tahlequah, OK, on Wednesday, December 26th, 1956, the son of Andy and Irene (Vann) Harlin. He grew up in a family with three brothers, Andrew, Wilbert, and Jamie and two sisters, Joann and Pokie, and attended school at Sequoyah and then began his job as an Assembly Line Worker for Tyson Foods. He began his life with Eva Osage and they began their family in 1976. Together they would raise a family of three sons and two daughters, Jeremy, Carissa, Cheryl, Randy and Joshua. He loved the time he had to spend with his best friend and soul mate, Eva, their children, and especially those grandchildren, they were his favorite people on earth. When he wasn’t working, he liked to go outdoors, and there he could do a little fishing, camping, and kayaking. He was always ready to play a good game of dominos, or go see his friends at the casino. There was nothing better than a little sunshine and time spent tending to his vegetable garden. He was blessed with a great sense of humor and he loved to joke and tease the grandkids. He made himself available to help those around him, he had a servants heart and showed kindness everywhere he went. His health began to fade and he struggled with just getting by day to day, but it never showed on his face. Just compassion and love for his family, he adored them. His grandchildren were the world to Albert, and he was so very proud of all the accomplishments they made. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of the Illinois River Baptist Church in Chewey, OK. He passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 in Tulsa, surrounded by those who loved him most. He was sixty three years, four months and nine days. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Polly Harlin, his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Lydia Vann, his Mother and Father, one brother, Jamie Snell and one sister, Pokie Whitten.
Those left to hold his memory dear include his wife of 43 years, Eva Harlin of the home, and their children, Jeremy Harlin of Chewey, Carissa Noe and husband Michael of Twin Oaks, OK, Cheryl Hitchcock and husband Jamie of Westville, OK, Randy Harlin of Tahlequah, and Joshua Harlin and wife Serena of Tahlequah. He leaves his brothers and sister, Andrew Harlin and wife Vicki of Westville, OK, Joann Harlin-Davis of Westville, OK, and Wilbert Harlin and wife Vicky of Kansas, OK.
