When she arrived into this world, she took us all by surprise being this little girl angel and not the boy we all expected. The parents had to choose a name and they choose to name her after her, Aunt Amanda Nofire who also helped deliver her into this world and Aunt Ashley Dawn Ishcomer. Her mother would call her "Choogie Girl" because of her entrance into this world.
Amanda was a loveable baby girl whose smile would light up a room. She would always have a smail, showing her cute little dimples that she enherited from her daddy and would talk to you in such a way, you would have no choice but to want to hold and love her. Amanda shares the same date of birth with her older sister Nakiah Morningstar Nofire.
She was given the Cherokee name of "Cricket". (ta-la-du) Her papa Jim one day said Mema were is Amanda? Mema said right here in fron of us in her basket. (Mema's old crib) Papa then said "Huh she is as quiet as a cricket." That is how this beautiful baby girl was given her Cherokee name. You would say "Cricket?" And she would look at you. Cricket was also as cute as a cricket. Full of adventure, at the age of 2 weeks she took her first swimming trip with her dad, mom, brother, and two sisters. She traveled through state's, went to an amusement park and rode her first ride at Silver Dollar City, rode on a four wheeler with her Dad, rode on a lown mower with her papa Jim, went boating with her Aunt Ashley and watched fireworks with her Mom and Big Sister Shylla.
Cricket made her debut at Echota's 100th Anniversary and also went to VBS at Echota Baptist Church where she will be laid to rest.
Cricket enjoyed Cherokee Gospel Music while riding in the car and loved to hear her mother sing "Amazing Grace" to her in Cherokee. She loved to laugh, take baths, and she really loved being with her big sister Shylla. Cricket was even measured on the wall with her cousins at MeMa's home. She enjoyed being held, cuddled, and spoiled by her Grandmother Susan (MeMa)
