Funeral services for Barbara Lee Haws-West will be held on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother John Blackwell officiating. Honorary pallbearers for Barbara include all of her grandsons, Jimmy Davis, Jason Blair, Billy “Ponch” Blair, John Blackman, Chris Blair, Chris Ridge-Blair, Austin Blair, Timmy Dyer, Dustin Goodnight, Brandon Malone, and Bryan Goodnight. Barbara Lee Haws-West was born on January 12th, 1937 in Coweta, OK, the daughter of Loylee Leslie and Ruby Pearl (Richardson) Haws. Barbara grew up in a home with two brothers and two sisters, Floyd, Gene, Norma, and Nadine. She worked as a Nurses Aide in Home Health, and was a kind and loving caregiver, always going the extra mile for those left in her care. She married and raised five children, three sons, Rickie, Tim, Billy, and two daughters, Vickie and Lisa. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who would do anything for her families happiness. When she was working at home, you could find Barbara in the kitchen cooking, making handmade quilts for her kids and other family heirlooms that kept them warm in winter. She was gifted at arts and crafts, and liked to crochet. She was always ready to play cards, gather the family for a meal, or just share an afternoon talking. When things were quiet, she liked watching a good western movie with John Wayne or reading a Louis L’amour western novel, or maybe work on the latest crossword puzzle. She was kind, considerate, thoughtful, and the best grandma ever! She was never too busy to watch the grandkids play sports, or listen to their latest story. Barbara passed peacefully from this life on February 11th, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 79 years old. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Floyd Haws, one sister, Norma Isaac, and two great grandchildren, Kole Clinton, and Everly Guthrie.

Those left to celebrate her memory include her children, Rickie Alan Blair and wife Kim of Tahlequah, OK, Tim Blair and wife Paula of Savanna, TN, Billy “Randy” Ray Blair and wife Dennise of Tahlequah, OK, Vickie Goodnight of Tahlequah, OK, and Lisa Blackman of Bunch, OK. She leaves one brother, Gene Haws, and one sister, Nadine Isaac, as well as 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
