Bernice had been a lifelong resident of Tahlequah and was known for being a hard worker and a woman of strength. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was proud to have 100 grandchildren. So sorry to hear of Bernice's passing. Her husband Spencer and my father Dan Gourd were first cousins. I have very fond memories of going to the Drywater home to visit when I was a child and playing with Mary and Sue.

Granny you were a strong and amazing woman. Took me in like yours. And you loved my kids so much. And we love you too. I'll always remember your beautiful flowers and your gardens. I remember a couple of years ago i got you a black duck and you just loved him. Thanks for teaching me to make raisen pies. You will never be forgotten. Your already missed by many. I know you hugged Randall for me. It's his turn to have you. RIP
