Bernice Price

Mildred Bernice (Richardson) Price, or better known as Bernice by family and friends, was born May 15, 1951 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Orville Richardson and Sally (Downing) Williams. She attended grade school in Little Kansas and grew up with five siblings. She would later marry Bill Price, sharing many years of love and memories. She was the proud mother of six children, Wanda, JayDean, Janet, Jennifer, Billy and Curtis and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her biggest accomplishments was earning her GED. She also received her certification as a CNA and worked for Allen’s Canning Company for many years. She looked forward to any time spent with her family and could color in her coloring books for hours. A bit on the feisty side, she wasn’t afraid to share her opinion and offer sound advice. A devout Christian, she loved the Lord and was faithful to reading her bible. On October 31, 2025, she was called to her eternal home at the age of 74 years old. This lively and kind soul will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She has gone on to join her parents, Orville Richardson and Sally Williams, her husband, Bill Price, along with two sisters, Norma Jean and Ella.

Those left to remember her include her songs, JayDean Cochran and wife Darla of Auburndale, FL, Billy Ray Vaughan of Jennings, OK and Curtis Webster Vaughan of Vinita, OK and three daughters, Wanda Boston of Park Hill, OK, Janet Colston and husband Rodney of Chewey, OK and Jennifer Cochran of Proctor, OK. She is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy of Tahlequah, OK and Sonny of Arkansas and one sister, Francis of Tahlequah, OK. Her legacy lives on through her twelve grandchildren, Victoria, Louie, Dylan, Ryan, Randi, Wendi, Stevie, Dawn, Eva, Tristan, Sarah and Catherine, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.

The family would like to give a special thank you Chaplain Jason Tyler and the many nurses and staff that have cared for her over this time.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Little Rock Cemetery in Rose, OK at a later date.
