Betsy Elaine Ford was born on July 11th, 1960 in Stockton, CA, the daughter of Lester and Kathryn (Wilhite) Ford. She started her family at a young age and is the proud Mother of three children, her son, Waylon Jory and two daughters, Jennifer Blish and Stormy Pruitt. She earned her living as a fork lift operator in various factories. When she wasn’t working she was spending time with the people she loved most in life, her grandchildren. The smile on her face whenever she got the chance to spoil her babies was wonderful to see. No matter the activity her grandchildren were involved in, she was there rooting them on. She was very proud of her Cherokee Heritage, and loved telling people about her beloved Wolf clan. She taught herself how to do native style bead work, and loved to gift her pieces to her family and friends. Betsy was fun. She was always the life of the party. She loved life and lived her life to the fullest. Betsy loved to fish. It didn’t matter the type of fish, she enjoyed sitting out by the lake enjoying the peaceful views and good company. She loved to have fun with her family and friends, there was nothing she liked better than an evening of dancing or attending concerts like the “Turnpike Troubadours with her son.” Growing up in California, she was an avid “Raiders” fan. She also cherished the time she was able to spend with her good friend, Marsha Carin, taking in a yard sale or running around shopping. Although she never owned a Harley Davidson, she had love for them and their beauty. As a term of endearment, when saying goodbye, she would always say “I love you more than all the Harley’s.” She was a Christian by faith and attended the Church of Christ in Gravette, AR. Until she moved to Oklahoma. For all the hopes and dreams she had yet to fulfill, she passed from this life on August 23, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. She was 61 years old and will be greatly missed by all those she cherished and shared her life with.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her husband, Harlan Clary.
Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Waylon Jory and wife Alicia of Jay, OK, Jennifer Blish and husband Chris of Tahlequah, OK, and Stormy Pruitt and husband Dillon of Bella Vista, AR. She also leaves her brother and sisters, Les Ford of Welling, OK, Sheila Stagnaro and husband John of Stockton, CA, and Stephanie Ford of Tahlequah, OK. She will live on in her nine grandchildren, Savanah, Daltyn, Jagger, Kathryn, Sean, Avari, Kyis, Daxxon and Daylan, soon to join the family. She also leaves two great grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
