Blake Stanley was born November 12th, 1934 in Terrisita, OK the son of Bill and Elsie (Thomas) Stanley. Blake worked in law enforcement for the Cherokee County Sherriff’s department for 30 years and was a jailer at the old jail in Tahlequah. Blake was also an avid member of the “Wolf Hunters Club Association”. Blake Stanley passed away on November 23rd, 2011 in Tahlequah, He was 77 years old
Blake is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Burva Maxine Grass, three brothers Wilburn, Auther, and Jerry Stanley, and a sisiter Betty Holman
Those left to cherish his memory include his son Blake Stanley Jr. and his wife Janice of Oaks, OK, a daughter Maudie Smith and her husband Steve of Tahlequah, OK, and his daughter Ruby Stanley of Kentucky, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
