Bobbie Jean (Gourd) O’Field was born June 11th, 1944 in Cherokee County, the daughter of J.A. Daughtry and Anna Liza (Gourd) Grass. Bobbie grew up with four brothers, David, Stanley, Alfred, Jess and one sister, Carol. She would later marry James O’Field. Their union was blessed with five wonderful children. Bobbie made a life of serving others and had a passion for spreading the gospel to the Cherokee people. There are many missionaries today that are able to speak Cherokee because of Bobbie’s teaching. Her door was always open to anyone that needed a place to stay. She showed unwavering faith in the Lord and had a great love for her family. She enjoyed any opportunity to fellowship with family and friends for a visit or fix up a home cooked meal. This good and faithful servant was called to meet her Savior on Monday, January 11th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 76 years old. The example of Christ she showed to others will be a legacy remembered by all that knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, two sons, Michael and Brandon O’Field, her daughter, Rhonda Snow and three brothers, David, Alfred and Jess Grass.

Her memory lives on through her two precious sons, Marcus O’Field and Darrel O’Field, both of Tahlequah, OK, one brother, Stanley Grass of Jay, OK and one sister, Carol Sixkiller of Tahlequah, OK. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Baron O’Field, Kayce O’Field, Daisy Mcllwain, Ashley Snow, Ajay Snow, Christian Snow, Mariah O’Field, Brandon Junior O’Field, Obadiah O’Field and Brandilyn O’Field, great-grandchildren, Leyton Osage, Ayden Osage, Mason O’Field and one great-granddaughter on the way, Rhonda Mcllwain as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
