Buck Christie was born on September 23rd, 1935 in Hulbert, OK, the son of John and Eyona (Bigfeather) Christie-Keener. He grew up with his brother, Henry. He attended school in Hulbert. Buck enlisted in the United States Army in 1951 and served honorably until his discharge three years later. He served as a cook during the Korean War, keeping the troops fed. He returned to the Lost City community following his service to his country and married the love of his life, Allene Chuculate, on June 22nd, 1968 in Nowata, OK. This union was blessed with 52 years of happiness and laughter, and six children, Gregory, John, William, Kevin, Lucinda, and Tracy. Buck worked at a wide variety of jobs throughout his lifetime. He was always working to provide for the family he cherished, and never stopped working til the day was done. He enjoyed many years at Griffin Foods, working a variety of jobs from truck driving to machine maintenance. He loved working on his farm, raising cattle, and going to the sale barn to buy and sell more cattle. It was also a good place to tell a few stories with the other folks doing the same. He was happiest being outdoors, working in the garden, growing vegetables, and hunting deer or turkey. He was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he drove the tractor for the hayrides, fried all the hog meat for the hog fry dinners, attended all the gospel singings, and helped where ever he was needed. He enjoyed watching westerns, baseball games, bull riding, or rodeos. There was no such thing as too much time spent with his beloved grandchildren. He was always happy and had a big grin on his face. There was nothing he enjoyed more than sitting on the back porch in the evenings with Allene and his special dog Lilybell. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from his labors on Friday, November 13th, 2020 at his home surrounded by those he loved most. Buck was 85 years old and leaves a legacy for his grandchildren to follow.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Polly Bigfeather and Mary Dirteater, his Mother and Father John and Eyona (Bigfeather) Christie-Keener, and his brother Henry.
