Carolyn Sue Anson

Carolyn Sue Anson, a loving mother, grandmother, and pillar of her family, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 1, 1944, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, care, and devotion to her family.

She found joy in the simple things, like tending to her flowers and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Carolyn's Christian faith was a guiding light in her life, and she cherished the time spent with her family. As a mother, she loved taking her children on outdoor adventures, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

In the tapestry of her life, one thread shines brighter than all others: the love she had for her children. This love was the foundation of her life, and she devoted herself to nurturing and caring for her family.

At the heart of her life was also her enduring love for her husband, Bill Anson, whom she married in Noel, Missouri. For 51 years until his passing, Bill was the love of her life, her partner, and her best friend. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, joy, and adventure.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Anson; her parents, Arch Vann and Blanche (Allen) Vann; her son, Larry Anson; her brothers, Andrew Vann, Willie Miller, and Valgene Brixey, and one sister, Lucille Moreno.

Carolyn is survived by her three sons, Gary Anson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Michael Anson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Dean Anson of Rose, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Mazie Anson, Ryden Anson, Reanna Anson, Ashli Anson, and Audri Anson; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Anson.

Carolyn's love and care for her family were unwavering, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, and her memory will be cherished forever.

Visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 , from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at 10:00am at New Home Cemetery in Peggs, Oklahoma with Pastor Matt Lawrence officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Gary Anson, Michael Anson, Dean Anson, Cody Bell, Micah Ofields and Josiah Ofields.
