Carrie Ann Gifford-Larrabee was born on Monday, September 8th, 1980, in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Rogers) Gifford. She grew up with one sister, Melissa. After graduating from high school, Carrie decided on a career in which she could serve others, and she enrolled in Nursing School. She graduated with her degree as a LPN. Carrie was a dedicated nurse, caring for every patient entrusted to her care with all she could do to ensure they received quality care. It didn’t matter how many hours, she could always be relied upon to give it her all. She married her best friend, Scott Larrabee, on July 22nd, 2006 . This union was blessed with their two sons, Lucky and Spencer. When she wasn’t working, you could find her doing what she loved best, keeping up with her husband and her boys. She was their biggest supporter at their sporting events and in anything they chose to do. The family loved water sports of all types and you could usually find them fishing, swimming or just enjoying a day on the water. She was a passionate gardener, and worked to raise the best vegetables and flowers in the neighborhood. She was kind, compassionate, funny and full of life. She made you feel like you had been her friend for a lifetime. Always giving more than she asked for in return. With all she had planned to do, the Lord called this wonderful young wife and mother home from her labors on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 in Siloam Springs, after reaching the age of 39. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her Dad, Robbie Gifford and her grandparents. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Scott of the home in Rocky Ford as well as her sons, Lucky and Spencer Larrabee of the home. She leaves her mother, Lorraine Gifford of the home and her sister, Melissa Renfro and husband Rocky and their son, Mason of Oregon. There is also her grandmother, Evelyn Rogers of Tahlequah, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

My sincere condolences to the family of Carrie. I knew Carrie through the Village where I had the privilege of working with her for many years. She served the residents of the Village with great love and compassion. She was a tremendous nurse and leaves this earth far too soon. I know she loved her family and (especially) her children. She spoke of them often and we would on occasion, have them at the Village. Always well behaved and helpful. Carrie was loved and respected by many and certainly by us. Prayers of peace and comfort for all.
