Charlene Strand

Funeral services for Charlene Green-Strand will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Robin Harvey officiating. Her family will receive guests for her visitation on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 at Reed-Culver Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Her final resting place is next to her sister, Darlene Matlock at Westmoreland-Rose Cemetery in Lowery Community. Online condolences for her family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Charlene Green-Strand was born on Thursday, July 12th, 1962 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of JL and Johnnie Louise (Daugherty) Green. She grew up with three brothers and four sisters, Darlene, Carlene, Robert, David, Quata, and Carl. She attended and graduated Tahlequah High School. She then met and married her best friend, David Strand, and they were married on November 6th, 1993 in Moody, OK. Together they would raise one daughter, Robin Strand-Harvey. Charlene was a homemaker by choice. She loved taking care of her husband and daughter. She was artistic and loved coloring in design books. She was also very capable with a crochet hook. She possessed a bit of a stubborn streak and had no problem voicing her opinion when she felt it necessary. She also had a loving heart towards her grandchildren, and loved everything about them. She never missed an opportunity to go for a drive to see the sights and maybe indulge in a treat of some kind. She enjoyed going out to eat and spend valuable time with Lacey and Aiden. She had a smile that was warm and inviting. Her health began to fail her and she was placed in care when she fractured her femur. She passed from this life on Saturday, June 6th, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. She was 57 years old and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother, her maternal grandmother , Glovana Perricone, her sister Darlene, her husband David Strand and her son-in-law, Cody Harvey, who passed in an accident.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Robin Harvey and her children, Lacey and Aiden Harvey of Ft. Smith, AR. She leaves a step-daughter, Donna Strand of Iowa. She leaves two sisters and three brothers, Carlene Moreland and husband Tommy of Tulsa, OK, Robert Green of Tahlequah, David Green of Tahlequah, Quata Allison of Texas, and Carl Green and wife Doris of Tahlequah, OK. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
