

Charley Odie Nottingham was born on October 11th, 1922, in Muldrow, OK the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Nottingham. After finishing school, Charley married Mamie Medlin. Together they raised a family of four boys until Mamie’s death. Then Charley married his second wife Katherine. He was the proud father of four sons, Charley, Eugene, Eddie, and Bill. Charley was a hard working man. He was a rancher who enjoyed running cattle. He was an avid gardener and raised beautiful vegetables for all his friends and family to enjoy. He owned and operated West Side Skelly Service Station in Tahlequah for years. He enjoyed cutting wood for the winter and working in his yard. Charley was very talented musically and played the piano, guitar and the banjo. He was very proud of his twelve grand children and their accomplishments. A Christian by faith, Charley was a member of the Double Springs Church of God. The Lord called Charley from his labors on Monday April 23rd, 2012, in Tahlequah, OK. Charley was 89 years old.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mamie, his second wife Katherine, and his son Eddie Nottingham.
Those left to cherish his memory include three loving sons, Charlie Nottingham and wife Lillie of Yukon, OK, Eugene Nottingham and wife Sharon of Tahlequah, OK Bill Nottingham and wife Juanita also of Tahlequah, OK, and daughter-in-law Janice Nottingham, wife of Eddie, of Hulbert, OK. Charley’s legacy lives on in twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
