Cinneide “Joey” Nakisisa, of Park Hill, Oklahoma, was born on March 2, 1979, in Ventura, California, to Milton Rogers and Patricia (Tillison) James. He passed away on January 27, 2026, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, leaving behind a deep and lasting imprint on everyone who knew him.
Joey was a man of remarkable intelligence with a curious, creative mind. He had a natural talent for computers and technology and enjoyed making music, playing video games, and spending time in online chat groups. Those conversations were more than just casual talk—Joey had a gift for listening and offering thoughtful life advice, and many found comfort, guidance, and friendship through his words.
He had an especially gentle heart toward animals. Known lovingly as a “pet whisperer,” Joey shared a special bond with his pets and treated them as cherished family. His compassion extended just as deeply to people. He was always willing to help others, often putting their needs before his own, and he gave freely of his time, insight, and care.
Joey also had a creative and playful side. He loved doing makeovers for the women in his life, taking joy in helping them feel confident, seen, and beautiful. His kindness, humor, and authenticity made him a trusted friend and a bright presence in the lives of many.
Memories of Joey will live on in his three brothers, John Rogers, Jimmy Rogers of CA, and Leo Bitting and wife, Sandy, of Ohio; one sister, Trisha Bitting, of Park Hill, Oklahoma; one niece, Misty Bitting; and one nephew, Mathew Bitting. He also leaves behind many friends whose lives were touched by his wisdom, generosity, and caring heart.
He is now reunited in eternal rest with his parents and grandparents.
Though his time here feels far too short, Cinneide “Joey” Nakisisa will be remembered for his intelligence, compassion, love for animals, and his unwavering willingness to be there for others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
