Claudia Sue Austin-Bolling was born on December 4th, 1942, in Homer, LA, the daughter of William F. Austin and Joyce (Coppock) Austin. She grew up the middle child of two brothers, William “Billy” and Kenneth R. Austin. The family relocated to Muskogee, OK, and it was from here she graduated high school. She met and married a handsome young Army man, Danny Gerald Bolling, and they were wed on June 18th, 1972 in Muskogee, OK. Together they raised three sons and one daughter, James, Danny Lee, Christopher and Jamie Carol. Sue as she was known by her family and friends, worked as a waitress in several restaurants in Muskogee, including Hamlins El Toro. The job she enjoyed most was caring for her husband and children. She kept a beautiful home, and filled it with children love and laughter. Armed with a cup of tea, she kept herself busy correcting Bible studies for Faith in Action Prison ministries and crocheting items for friends and loved ones. She was a devoted member of Timothy Baptist Church and worked in the nursery keeping the little ones happy. When at her home, she often cooked wonderful meals, her pork chop casserole, spaghetti, stew and chocolate cake with pecans wasn’t to be missed. She loved to pack up her family and take them camping, cooking under the stars and doing a little fishing. She had beautiful eyes, a soulful smile and loved to hear you laugh! She was always finding the little things in life amusing. She was quiet and content with life just the way she found it and the view from her own back yard was just fine! Her health began to fade and she kept closer to home and not far from Danny and the children. She passed from this life on April 27th, 2022 in Cookson, OK. She was 79 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, two sons, James and Christopher, and one brother, Billy Austin.
Her memory is cherished by her husband, Danny of the home and her children, Danny Lee Bolling and wife Rachel of Cookson, OK, and Jamie Carol Bolling-Johnson and husband Jeremy of Muskogee, OK.
