She grew up with five siblings, Edgar ”Sonny”, Ken, Bobby, Patsy and JoAnn. She attended high school then met and married the love of her life, Jerry Hart, together they raised a family of one son and one daughter, Jeremy and Melissa. Dee was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved being a homemaker, and worked hard at making home a wonderful place for her family to live. She was the outdoors type, always working in her garden or raising flowers, or planning a picnic. She was fond of games and loved to play bingo or board games and the occasional trip to the casino. She had a soft spot for the people of her community that needed assistance, and she was the neighbor always there to offer a ride, help with the housework, bring a casserole, whatever was needed. Dee was a Christian by faith, and faithfully attended the Assembly of God Church in Morris, OK. She loved her church family and looked forward to seeing them whenever possible. Any chance to spend time with her family was wonderful for Dee, especially her grandchildren! They were perfect in her eyes. Baylee and Carson were a constant source of pride and happiness for Dee. She had the sweetest smile and the most giving heart, with a laugh that lit up any room she entered. The Lord called this kind and wonderful woman home from her labors on Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 in Tulsa, OK with her loved ones by her side. She was 65 years old. She will be missed. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers Kenneth Harold Mitchell and Bobby Leon Mitchell and her grandparents.

So many memories flood my thoughts and not one of Aunt Dee being mean or rude to anyone. My childhood memories are filled with Aunt Dee, Aunt Gail and mom's shenanigan's. Later in life it was her strong faith and peace that God is always in control that is etched in my heart. Her laughter still rings in my ears as does the way she would say "Jerry" and kinda roll her eyes. Fly high Aunt Dee, rest with angels.
