Dennis Wayne Davis was born on December 29th, 1951 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Earl and Betty Rae (Hayne) Davis. He grew up with three brothers and five sisters, Jerry, Earl, Derrick, Pamela, Linda, Kasandra, Starla, and Canzaty. On April 26th, 1971, he married the love of his life and his best friend, Patricia Elsie. This union was blessed with 47 years and three children, Dennis Jr., Kenneth, and Crystal. Dennis worked as a Custodian for Northeastern State University for 35 years, keeping Seminary Hall clean. He loved people and always had time to smile and say hello. He also worked at the Murrell Home as the maintenance man for years. When he had time off, you would find Uncle den out doors, hunting mushrooms or wild onions. He loved to go deer hunting and was always up for any adventure his family had in mind. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Dennis loved his family and spending time with them was always a priority. He loved gathering together for a holiday, just to share a meal and some memories. His nine grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he was always ready to go watch them in sports or spend the day playing. He was a Christian by faith. The Lord called his good and faithful servant home from his labors on March 15th, 2018 in Tahlequah, OK, with his loved ones by his side. He was 66 years old. He leaves a vacant seat that no one can ever fill.
He is preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Linda Faye Ramirez, and his grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Patricia of the home, and his father, Earl Davis and step-mother, Lelia Davis of Tahlequah. He leaves his children, Dennis Davis Jr. of Park Hill, Kenneth Davis and girlfriend Jeanine Murphy of Dry Creek, and his daughter, Crystal Yocute and husband Jesus of Tahlequah. His brothers and sisters are Jerry Dale Davis and wife Jean of Bunch, Earl Gray and wife Diane of Omack, WA, Derrick Smith of Taft, Ok, Pamela Sue Lewis and husband Daniel of Park Hill, OK, Kasandra McGee, Starla Phillips, and Canzaty Thompson all of Taft, OK.
He lives on in his nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Abigail, Matthew, Noah, Derrick, Sarah, Dakota, Nicole, and Christopher, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
