Eddie John Jermaine Chism was born on August 3rd, 1979 in Coffeyville, KS, the son of Cecil Chism Sr. and DeVolla Yvonne (Anderson) Platt, and was later blessed with a step-father, Malcolm Platt. He attended school and graduated from McClain High School in Tulsa, OK. He began his working career as an Air conditioning Assembly Worker for AAON Inc. of Tulsa, OK. Eddie was gifted with a mechanical mind; he loved to tinker around on cars and fix them up. When he wasn’t working, he was happiest fishing along the river bed and taking in the calm and beauty of the water. Eddie was open hearted, always giving his possessions away to anyone that had use of them. He was full of life and could make you happy just by flashing that famous grin he had. He loved to joke and tease and usually went around singing a song of some kind. He was head strong and stubborn, but this just made him all the more loveable. He never missed the chance to go out to eat, and enjoyed Mexican food most of all. He had accepted the Lord to rule his life, and attended the Latter House Family Outreach Ministries faithfully. Even after he become disabled in April of 2016, it never stopped Eddie from flirting and sharing his zest for life with all his friends, lifting spirits whenever he could. His health failed him and Eddie passed from this life on September 16, 2021 in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by those that knew best. He was 42 years old and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Cecil Chism Sr., his brother, Cecil Chism Jr., infant twin brother and sister, and several aunts and uncles.
