Elizabeth Anne Ishcomer, the daughter of Mary Alice Ishcomer and Jonathan Hiram Jake, was born on July 21, 1973, in Tahlequah, OK, at W. W. Hastings Indian Hospital. Elizabeth, known as Liz to her family and friends, grew up in the Rocky Mountain community; often visiting her Pawnee and Osage family in Hominy, OK. She loved her family dearly and often talked about her five sisters and Grandma Rose.
Liz attended Rocky Mountain Elementary School with many cousins and her partner in crime, Aunt Susan Ishcomer Fields, who was more like a sister to her, being they were only two years apart. After leaving Rocky Mountain, Liz attended Sequoyah High School and graduated in May 1991. While at Sequoyah, she made many lifelong friends. She was one of the first tennis players at Sequoyah High School and part of the Pep Club.
Liz was a kind and charismatic person and made friends easily. She had a distinctive laugh and sense of humor. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and as a young girl dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Liz enjoyed watching re-runs of Friends, Mama’s Family, The Jeffersons, and The Golden Girls. She enjoyed listening to music from the 80's and 90's and her favorite song was Purple Rain by Prince.
During her early teenage years, Liz accepted the Lord as her personal savior and became a member of Echota Baptist Church. Liz peacefully passed from this life to enter her eternal home on November 7, 2023, at home with family and friends at her bedside. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Byron Thunder Whitecrow-Judd, sister, Andrea Jake, maternal grandparents, Buck Ervin and Lois (Nofire) Ishcomer, paternal grandparents, John Wayne and Rosa (Lohah) Jake, and her best friends, Danielle Pidgeon and Chopsie Williams.
