Elizabeth "Lizzie" Faith Wright

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Faith Wright was born on February 15, 1979, beloved daughter of Jimmy Charles Wright and Leta Faye (Freeman) Wright. Lizzie's life was defined not by her disabilities, but by the love, laughter, and happiness she shared so freely with everyone around her. She had a vibrant personality that was equal parts sweet and sassy, and she had a remarkable gift for making people smile. Her joyful laugh was contagious, and she found delight in the simplest moments of life.

She had a special love for food, with cheeseburgers always being at the top of her list. Lizzie also enjoyed spending time watching her favorite cartoons, especially SpongeBob SquarePants and Mickey Mouse, which never failed to bring a smile to her face. Music filled her heart, and she loved singing gospel songs. Her favorite was "This Little Light of Mine," a song that reflected the light she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. One of the phrases those who loved her will always remember was her enthusiastic "Oooohhh Yeah," a saying that perfectly captured her spirited and joyful nature. Lizzie had an extraordinary memory and amazed family and friends with her ability to remember birthdays and countless details about the people she loved. She was, in many ways, a walking data bank whose thoughtful memory made others feel seen and remembered.

On July 20, 2026, Lizzie passed from this life at the age of 47 years old. Though she faced challenges throughout her life, her life was a reminder that love is expressed through laughter, songs, shared meals, and the little moments that become treasured memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Leta Faye Wright, grandparents, Walter and Dortha Freeman and Walter and Margie “Bessie” Wright, four uncles, Johnny Norseworthy, Junior Wright, Johnny Wright, and Walter Wright, and her best friend, John Scott.

She leaves behind brother, Jimmy “Jake” Wright of Tahlequah, OK, aunts and uncles, Vina Freeman and husband Keith, Margie Norseworthy, Bill Wright, all of Tahlequah, OK, Harold Wright of Peggs, OK and Viola Wright of Cushing, OK, along with many cousins too numerous to mention, many friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing her. While she will be deeply missed, her laughter, her songs, and her spirited "Oooohhh Yeah," live on forever.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Lizzie's light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
