Erik Lane

Erik Patrick Frankie Lane was born October 4, 1983 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Ernest Lane and Kay Lynn Blossom. After graduating high school, he put his hands to work as a GAP-certified roofer for nearly 15 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, skill and dedication to a job well done. He later went on to working in lawn care with his cousin, Bobby Pickup, along with various odd jobs. His free time was spent with family and friends at the casino or indulging in an all-you-can-eat buffet. However, to him, you couldn’t beat a good hog fry with a side of frybread. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found peace and joy in nature. Whether by the water, fishing, walking and simply taking in the view, he felt the most at home surrounded by the creator’s natural beauty. His love for Native American culture ran deep, resonating with its traditions and culture. He had a great sense of humor, was caring and showed kindness to everyone around him; giving anything he had without hesitation. Gone far too soon, Erik passed from this life on August 11, 2025 in Tahlequah at the age of 41 years old. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Annie Blossom, mother, Kay Lynn Blossom, four uncles, John Thomas Blossom, Bobby Joe Blossom, Allen Wayne Blossom and Willie Blossom and three aunts, Frances Tibbetts, Mary Sue Booker and Barbara McCall.

Those left to remember him include his three sons, David Paulk of Pryor, OK, Erik Rabbit, also of Pryor and Koby Rabbit of Collinsville, OK, one daughter, Bella Rabbit of Owasso, OK, partner for life, Jimy Lynn Rabbit of Pryor, OK, one brother, Kevin Lane and wife Bertina of Tahlequah, OK and one sister, April Lane of Kiefer, OK. He also leaves three grandchildren, Benjamin Hair, Phoenix Secker and Acacius Secker along with nieces and nephews, Beverly, Rainna, Kannon and Johnny, numerous friends and loved ones.

A celebration of life for Erik will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 4:00pm at Reed-Culver Chapel with his father, Ernest Lane officiating. He will be laid to rest at Little Rock Cemetery in Locust Grove at a later date.

Serving as pallbearers include David Paulk, Erik Rabbit, Koby Rabbit, Kevin Lane and Kannon Lane.
