Floy was born on November 29, 1946, in Montgomery, Kansas, to Flora Ann Ogle-Hammond and James Archie Hammond. Throughout her life, Floy was known as a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted caretaker. Caring for others was an important part of who she was, and she gave her time, love, and compassion generously to those around her.
Floy was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Ann Ogle-Hammond and James Archie Hammond; her sister, Shirley Jean Hammond; her beloved husband, Earl Dobbs; her daughter, Donnetta Lowrey-Gifford; her grandson, Michael Lowrey; her granddaughter, Jeri Olivia Bunch; and her great-grandson, Conner Rhode.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Cindy Moss of Braggadocio, Missouri; Diana Blakley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Mary Mott and husband Dennis of Caruthersville, Missouri; David Adney and wife JoDee of Clinton, Oklahoma; Donnie Adney and wife Deina of Hulbert, Oklahoma; Kenneth Dobbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma; David Dobbs of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Daniel Dobbs of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and Jacob Dobbs of Cuba, Missouri. She also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they made with her.
Floy will be remembered for her caring spirit, her devotion to her family, and the many ways she gave of herself to care for others.
Although she will be deeply missed, the love Floy shared throughout her life will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and future generations.
Her hands may be still, but the love she gave will never fade. She will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
