Glenda Renee (Hogner) Curtis was born on January 19, 1965, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Robert and Georgia (Reese) Hogner. She attended Briggs Schools and later graduated from Tahlequah High School before completing college courses at Northeastern State University. She became a homemaker, raising three daughters for over twenty years. Later in life—after her children were older—she began working for Duncan Regional Hospital in the Atrium Cafe before earning her certification as a Pharmacy Technician. She started her pharmacy career with Duncan Regional, then CVS Pharmacy in Duncan, and later Cox Walgreens in Tahlequah, serving her community with compassion, patience, and a steady heart. She had the ultimate gift of making others feel seen, cared for, and safe; always present in every interaction and task.
Glenda married Mark Curtis on December 13, 1986, and was blessed with their three daughters: Tahleah, Nicci, and Courtney. Even as a little girl, she had always wanted to be a mother more than anything—and she fulfilled her calling with immeasurable love and dedication to her girls. She poured her whole heart and soul into motherhood, making a home filled with warmth and unconditional love. As a true homemaker, she loved to decorate, creating welcoming and cozy spaces full of her signature charm. Each season and celebration was marked with new personal touches, especially during the holidays when her home most reflected her joyful spirit.
An accomplished sewist, seamstress, and quilter, she stitched love into every blanket, dress, and ribbon skirt she made. Her hands crafted countless treasures: thoughtful gifts, home-cooked meals, and anything else that could bring comfort to those who needed it most. Her door was always open, and she offered a safe space to all who entered. She was genuinely the “heart” of any and all gatherings with her wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh. Nobody was a stranger under her roof.
Glenda was a woman of deep Christian faith. She lived her beliefs through her actions of kindness, compassion, and humility. This amazing, truly extraordinary mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed peacefully into her Lord’s embrace in the early hours of Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at the age of 60 years, 9 months, and 30 days.
She has been reunited at the pearly gates of Heaven with her mother, Georgia; her husband, Mark; and both brothers, Kenneth “Toot” and Mark “Dew” Hogner.
Those left to cherish her love and memory include her father, Robert Hogner; three daughters, Tahleah and Nicci Curtis of Oklahoma City, OK, and Courtney Curtis of the home in Tahlequah, OK. She also leaves one sister, Terri Kindell, and husband Ron of Park Hill, OK; and her two bonus children: son Wesley Hedrick and wife Sukkie of Wichita, KS, and daughter Lucretia Strickert and family of Dighton, KS. Her legacy will live on through her cherished granddaughter, Presley Curtis; bonus grandchildren Olivia, Dazen, and Dresden; nephews Skylar Smith and wife Agata, and Izaiah Kindell; and soul sister Connie Goodman and family, as well as a host of family, friends, and loved ones from all walks of life—too many to count.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, endless laughter, and countless lessons. She turned houses into homes and strangers into family. She lives on in the beauty she created, the comfort she offered, and the unconditional love she gave to the many lives she touched.
A celebration of Glenda’s love and life will be held on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Tree Baptist Church with Pastor DJ McCarter officiating.
Honorary pallbearers include Skylar Smith, Izaiah Kindell, Junior Fuentes, Travis Fuentes, Zachary Fuentes and Johnny Fuentes.
