Glenn Louis Watkins started his journey on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 1956 in Oroville, CA, his parents, Louis James Watkins and Virginia Marie (Fraga) Craver, receiving the greatest gift of love.
Glenn went to East High School in Phoenix, AZ, then worked as a lineman and a general contractor; as he was quite the handy man and not shy of hard work. On Glenn’s off time, he would be found hitting the road on his Yamaha taking in the countryside or tinkering around on classic cars. He was a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) for a period of time, standing for those who aren’t able, which was his Mantra. Some of his favorite and most peaceful moments were spent on his motorcycle, horseback riding or delving into a good book. Glenn’s signature quote was “Just waiting for riding time…”
One thing was for certain, it was never a dull moment when Glenn was around. He loved to make others laugh even when his health began to fail. On Friday, January 22nd, 2021, he passed from this life in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 64. His smile and humor will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Tracie Watkins and grandson Glenn of Wisconsin, son Joe Watkins of Texas, brother Greg Watkins and wife Maria of Mesa, AZ, three sisters Lisa Faux of Mesa, AZ, Teresa Martin-Potts of Phoenix, AZ and Carla Murphy and husband Thomas “Dennis” of Litchfield Park, AZ, along with a niece, nephew and many cousins, friends and loved ones.
