

Gloria Fields was born on September 4, 1928 in Tahlequah, OK. the daughter of Adouphus and Patsy (Ross) Steele. Gloria lived in Tahlequah with her family until she was a teenager at which time they moved to Oklahoma City where she attended and graduated from Taft High School. Gloria worked for many years as a housekeeper for Kerr McGee, OG&E, and the post office in Oklahoma City. Gloria spent time traveling all over the United States. Gloria also loved sewing, canning, and playing the slots at the casino, but most of all she loved her family and cherished the times spent with her grandchildren. Gloria went to her eternal home on November 22, 2011, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Selma Fayette Fields, a brother Booker Steele, and a sister Nancy Lawson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons Tommie Lee Fields Jr. and his wife Christina of Lawton, OK, A.C. Fields of Keys, OK, and Allen Fields of Tulsa, OK, two daughters Jackie Rush and her husband Roberto of TX, and Gloria Nadine Scroggins of Dallas, 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
