Haley loved being around her family and friends. She enjoyed going to concerts, back roading, and spending time with the people she loved most. Halloween was her favorite time of year, and she never missed an opportunity to watch a good horror movie. Haley was known for her fun-loving personality and had a way of making people laugh. She was an auntie to everyone's kids, and although many of her nieces and nephews were close in age to her, she helped raise them and loved each of them as if they were her own.
She also loved spending time with her "Rezzy Aunties," Lavena Jones, Taylor Riddle, Linda Thomas, Jamie Phelan, and Krystal Zarate. The friendships they shared were filled with laughter, memories, and love that Haley treasured.
Haley found her calling caring for others. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved taking care of her residents and patients, and everyone she cared for knew they were in good hands. Haley worked as an LPN with Solutions at Northeastern Health System, where she touched many lives through her kindness, compassion, and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Gourd Sr. and Melva (Drywater) Gourd; her paternal grandparents, Leonard and Luanna Gourd; her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Drywater; her sister, Beth Drywater Foreman; and her nephew, Cameron Drywater.
