Harry Gene “Blue” Buie was born on Friday, November 26th, 1943 in North Little Rock, AR, the son of Harry J. and Helen (Holliman) Buie. He attended school in North Little Rock then went to work making his living as a welder/machinist/truckdriver. He was never one to sit idly by, but preferred to keep busy and on the move. He worked for 37 years at Custofab in Sand Springs, doing custom fabrication work. He retired in 2009. It was at this time he met his best friend and the love of his life, Patricia Henson. There was nothing better than a day spent fishing or maybe a long ride on his motorbike. Blue was an accomplished pool player and possessed a beautiful voice which he used to sing country and gospel music. He was good with crossword puzzles and enjoyed working them. Once you met Blue, you immediately had a friend that would help out any way he could and never expect anything in return. He was polite and kind, never rushed and had the smile to light up the room. Blue considered himself to be a member of the Keys Church Of God, and had recently dedicated his life to the Lord, a decision he was very proud of. His health began to fail him and the Lord called Blue to his Eternal Home on Monday, February 4th, 2019 at his home in Park Hill with Pat and his friends close by his side. He was 75 years old. Blue will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father and his grandparents.
Blue’s memory will be cherished by his loving companion, Pat Henson, and his many friends and acquaintances. Per his request, there are private family services only at his time.
