Harvey Forrest Chase III, "Frosty" 59, of Tahlequah, OK left his life on earth Friday, June 27, 2014 to join his Lord and loved ones in Heaven. Frosty was born on June 29, 1954 in Tahlequah to Harvey Forrest and Mary Lillian (Hicks) Chase. Frosty was raised on the Illinois River and had a passion for all kinds of outdoor activities including fishing, canoeing, and arrowhead hunting. In his early adulthood, Frosty worked in small engine repair for Chase Hardware. It was said he could "fix anything".
Frosty is survived by his children, Simon Matthew Chase of Tahlequah and Adam Forrest Chase of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Chase of Tahlequah, his two sisters, Marjie Dowling of Tahlequah, Dawna Hawkins of Tahlequah and two grandchildren, Kirsten Chase and Tyler Reese Chase. Surviving him as well are his paternal Aunts, Madelon Berry and Barbara Edwards of Texas. Frosty will always be remembered and missed by many other relatives and lifelong friends.
Frosty was preceded in death by his father, his son Harley Chase, paternal grandparents Harvey Forrest and Jean (Mallow) Chase, maternal grandparents George Earl and Marie (Witt) Hicks and his companion Rebecca Hooper.
As a child, Frosty was so shy you hardly knew he was around but he made up for that in his adulthood by constantly tormenting, teasing, and picking on anyone in his path. He was quick witted and personable, never meeting a stranger and told so many tall tales that you quickly learned not to believe everything he said.
To all that knew him well... he was always known and will always be remembered as a "mama's boy".
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Gazebo at Tahlequah City Cemetery with Brother Darell Christopher officiating. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.reedculver.com.
