Jackie Sue McAlvain–Millspaugh, or “Momma Jackie” to her family and friends, was born on Monday, November 10th, 1958, in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Jackie Gerald and Judith Carlene (Harris) McAlvain. She was raised with two brothers, Billy and David and four sisters, Shari, Cindy, Tina and Sharon. She attended school and then met and married her best friend, David Millspaugh. Together they raised a family of one son and two daughters, Gerald, Melissa and Brandie. Jackie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was strong and determined, kind hearted and the matriarch of the Millspaugh family. There was nothing in the world as important to Jackie as her beloved family. She worked as a bus driver, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. When she wasn’t working, you could find Jackie working in her garden and raising the prettiest flower beds. The roses were her favorite and she raised beauties. There was nothing she enjoyed more than a trip camping with her family and taking the grandkids, nieces and nephews swimming for the afternoon. She loved to watch a little TV, and was a diehard WWE Wrestling fan, liked horror flicks, and the old shows like Heat of The Night, Gunsmoke, Elvis, and Walker Texas Ranger. The best memories were of her family gathered for a holiday or family gathering. A Christian by faith, the Lord called this hard working industrious woman home from her labors on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 at her home in Pryor following an illness. She was 60 years old and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband David Millspaugh, one brother, Billy McAlvain, and two sisters, Shari McAlvain and Cindy Eastep.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gerald Millspaugh and wife Peggy of Oklahoma City, Melissa Kirk of Pryor, Brandie McDonald and husband Ricky of Rose, OK, and Carlene Thompson of Pryor, OK. She leaves one brother, David O’Neal and wife Lisa of Newkirk, OK, and two sisters, Tina Gillam of Oaks, OK, and Sharon Henderson and husband Eddie of Tulsa, OK. She lives on in her eleven grandchildren, Frances Millspaugh of Tahlequah, Dalton Millspaugh of Tahlequah, Hunter Millspaugh of Tahlequah, Blake Millspaugh of Oklahoma City, Tabbetha McDonald of Tahlequah, Summer McDonald of Tahlequah, Justin Kirk of Tahlequah, Madison Kirk of Tahlequah, Bethany Kirk of Inola, OK, and Shelby Kirk of Tahlequah, OK. There is also one very special great grandchild, Jaebree Keys of Tahlequah, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
