Jacob Michael Eversole was born on September 27th, 1981 in Merced, CA, the son of Jimmieann Eversole-Litke. He was raised with five siblings, Bethany, Larry “Barney”, Archie “Bud”, Caleb and Sara Vance. He grew up around Tahlequah, Tecumseh and Merced, CA. Jacob played baseball when he was young and was an excellent pitcher. He later became a certified truck driver. He drove for Texoma Power Line Co. Disaster Restoration; he enjoyed serving people in need. No matter where life took him, he always had a canine companion. Ithica has been by his side providing constant comfort. Jacob was an amazing cook, loved to travel, was outspoken and loved to be in the spotlight. He told the best stories and could always make you laugh. But most of all, Jake enjoyed swimming with family and friends. September 11th, 2022, he passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was 40 years old and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmie D. Eversole, his great-grandmother, Sarah Keys, and his father, Larry Vance.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jimmieann Eversole Litke of Tahlequah, OK, and his siblings, Bethany Vance of Tahlequah, Barney Vance of Tahlequah, Bud Vance of Hulbert, Caleb Vance and companion Latisha Steeley of Tahlequah, and Sara Vance of Tahlequah. His grandmother, Joanna Eversole and his uncle, Phillip Eversole. He leaves his many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services for Jacob “Big Jake” Michael Eversole on Friday, September 16th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Jason Gann officiating. He will be laid to rest at Stilwell City Cemetery following services. Pallbearers for Jake include David Taylor, David Onjahwah, Wesley Tubbs, Mike Holman, Ben Long, Dylan Murphy and Tommy Hilton. His honorary pallbearers include Tanner Woods, Easton Vance, Daniel Vance, Archie Vance, Gabriel Vance, Gunner Vance, Grasen Vance, Talon Vance, Kenneth Vance , Christian Vance and Jeremy Eldridge.
His family will receive guests on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 beginning at 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
