James Clifford Sawney

Funeral services for James Clifford Sawney will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver. Interment will be held at Tahlequah City Cemetery. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Pallbearers for James include Chris Gurschke, Dewayne Logan, Roger Barr, Chris Cape, Stan Ireland, and Jimmy Center. Honorary pallbearers include Tyler Kirk, Brett Simon, and Michael Cooper.

James Clifford Sawney was born on December 13th, 1999 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Christopher Reed and Erma Claire (Ireland) Sawney. He was recently enrolled at Tahlequah Public School in the 10th grade. James was quiet, and thoughtful, but capable of a devilish sense of humor! He was quick witted and good with a snappy comeback. He liked to listen to music from alternative rock to pop and country. There was nothing he enjoyed more than relaxing at home, feet up, and a good video game to pass the time. He like to venture into the kitchen and do a little cooking, especially steak. He liked to work as a technician in Drama Club in school and was very studious about learning the Cherokee language. There was nothing that kept him from his straight A status. James loved and adored his family, and heckling his sisters, Angel and Jade. James left this world all too quickly on November 26th, 2015 in Tahlequah, OK. He was only 15 years old. James leaves us memories that time will never fade.

James is survived by his parents, Christopher and Erma Sawney of the home in Tahlequah, along with his favorite sisters, Angel Sawney and Jade Sawney both of the home. He leaves his two grandmother’s, Dorothy Ireland of the home and Jackie Richardson of Tahlequah, OK, two uncles, Stan Ireland and Bobby Center and wife Nichole all of Tahlequah, OK and his aunt, Hannah Richardson also of Tahlequah, OK, as well as many friends in school, Drama Club, and throughout the town.
