James Wesley "Wes" Tucker was born on June 28, 1951 in Tahlequah, OK, to Albert and Christine (Ballard) Tucker. Wes grew up in the Tahlequah area and attended the old Messena School. He was the oldest of three boys and shared a lifelong bond with his brothers, David and Tommy.
From an early age, Wes enjoyed figuring out how things worked. He loved tinkering with just about anything he could get his hands on, whether it was radios, cars, or lawnmowers. He had a curious mind and found satisfaction in repairing and improving things. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching television, especially classic old movies. More than anything else, Wes cherished his beloved cats. They were faithful companions who brought him comfort and joy throughout his life, and he cared for them with deep affection.
Wes passed away peacefully on his 75th birthday, June 28, 2026 in Roland, OK. Wes will be remembered for his independent spirit, his knack for fixing almost anything, and the quiet kindness he showed in his own way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Christine Tucker.
He is survived by his brothers, Tommy Tucker and wife Patty of Tahlequah, OK and David Tucker of Fort Smith, AR, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family appreciates the kindness, prayers, and support shown during this time as they celebrate Wes's life and cherish the memories he leaves behind.
A visitation for Wes will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 10:00 am at Boudinot Cemetery with Brother Justin Hampton officiating.
