Jamey Clayton Lamb

Jamey Clayton Lamb, age 52, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 3, 1973, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Curtis Ray Lamb and Marsha Dee (Edwards) Lamb.

Jamey proudly served his country in the United States Navy. During his military service, he served aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt and served during the conflict in Bosnia. His love of history and the military stayed with him throughout his life. He was a true history buff who enjoyed making and painting miniature military weapons and playing war games with his friends. He was also a member of Phi Lambda Chi.

Jamey attended Northeastern State University, where he met the love of his life and best friend, Jami Lyn Love. The two were married on March 13, 1999, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and together they built a life centered around family, faith, laughter, and making the most of every day.

Professionally, Jamey worked as a medical librarian for 17 years. Away from work, he enjoyed gardening, riding four-wheelers along Fourteen Mile Creek, talking politics, and anything that allowed him to enjoy life and spend time with the people he loved.

More than anything, Jamey loved his family. His daughters, Addi and Lexi, were his pride and joy, and spending time with them was one of the greatest pleasures of his life. Jami was not only his wife, but his best friend and partner through everything life brought their way.

Jamey was known for his sense of humor and his ability to cut up and make those around him laugh. He enjoyed every moment of life and faced even its most difficult challenges with a positive attitude. His family often referred to him as their “Marvel Man” because he survived things he was never expected to overcome. Jamey considered himself a very blessed man.

He was a Christian man who loved God and was a member of Heather Ridge Baptist Church. His faith remained an important part of who he was and how he approached life.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jody Ray Lamb.

Jamey is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Jami Lyn Lamb; his daughters, Lexi Lamb and Addi Lamb of all of the home; his parents, Curtis Ray Lamb and Marsha Dee Lamb; his sister, Julie Catherine Lamb of Tulsa, Oklahoma; as well as many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Jamey lived his life with humor, gratitude, faith, and an unmistakable love for his family. He believed himself to be a blessed man, and the life he shared with those around him was a blessing in return. His laughter, resilience, and love for his family will remain with them for years to come.

A funeral service honoring Jamey's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Hulbert, Oklahoma, with Brother Ryan Yount officiating. Addi Lamb, Lexi Lamb, James Dick, and Carl Mayer will also take part in the service.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Reed Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.

Jamey will be laid to rest at Hulbert I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, Oklahoma.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Young, Don Myers, Carl Mayer, Brent O'Dell, Lexi Lamb, and Russell Pascarella. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Leonard, James Dick, Everett Chun, Jeff Smith, James Edward Dick, and Addi Lamb.
