The world became a little quieter on May 28, 2026, when Jaycie Dawn (Harvey) Rattlinggourd passed away at the age of 29. Born on September 13, 1996, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Jaycie lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
To know Jaycie was to know joy. She had a smile that could brighten the darkest day, a laugh that was impossible to forget, and a playful spirit that kept everyone around her smiling. A natural trickster with a heart of gold, she loved making people laugh and never met a stranger. Her kindness, warmth, and ability to make others feel welcome were gifts that touched countless lives.
Jaycie was a true country girl through and through. She loved playing softball, hunting, fishing, camping, playing cornhole, searching for arrowheads, and spending her days at the creek or river. Some of her happiest moments were spent gathered around a fire, enjoying cookouts with family and friends, listening to music, playing catch, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors. She had recently begun gardening and looked forward to watching the things she planted grow.
More than anything else, Jaycie loved her family. Being Jensyn's mom was the role she cherished most, and every decision she made was rooted in her love for her daughter. She treasured every moment spent with family and friends and created memories that will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and tears of remembrance to those she leaves behind.
Jaycie is survived by her daughter, Jensyn Dawn Rattlinggourd of Hulbert, Oklahoma; husband, Tiron Rattlinggourd; her father, Jason Harvey and wife Lori of Peggs; her mother, Stacy (Pritchett) Dougherty and husband Joe Boo of Tahlequah; her grandparents, Sally Harvey, Billy Bob Dougherty, Bea Dougherty, Louie Pritchett, and Faye Pritchett. She also leaves four brothers, Jon Griggs of Tahlequah, Jaden Harvey of Peggs, Kalen Backwater of Tahlequah, and Stryker Dougherty of Tahlequah; one sister, Kallie Jo Dougherty of Tahlequah; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her precious son, Traeston Rattlinggourd, and her grandfather, Thomas Harvey.
The family finds comfort in imagining the joyful reunion that took place when Jaycie was welcomed home by those who had gone before her. Yet her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express. Her family and friends will forever miss her laughter, her stories, her mischievous sense of humor, and the love she so freely shared.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Jaycie's legacy will not be measured by the years she lived, but by the lives she touched. Her laughter will echo in cherished memories, her love will live on through her family, and her spirit will remain forever present in the hearts of those blessed to know her. Until we meet again, she will be deeply loved, dearly missed, and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Jaycie's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Rodney Chuculate and Pastor Jesse Glass officiating. She will be laid to rest at Agent Cemetery in Moodys, Oklahoma.
