Jeffery Davis, or Tommy Chong to his friends, was born on July 31st, 1965, in Claremore, OK, the son of Tiie and Velma Sue (Scott) Davis. He grew up in little Kansas with two brothers and three sisters, Patricia “Ann”, Pam, Greg, Tammy and Brian.
He loved playing sports in school and participated in track, basketball, football and baseball, with football being his favorite. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably from 1985-1988 and served as an airplane mechanic. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a security guard at Cherokee Nation Casino in West Siloam Springs and was Cleet Certified while there. He also worked as a crew boss for a Chicken Catching Crew. He was married to Sephanie (Osage) Davis and together they raised a family of three sons and two daughters, Shawna Roland, Kelly Marie Davis, James Wyatt Davis, July Whitecloud and Taylor Osage. He was an adoring dad who thought his kids were the best. When he wasn’t working, he loved to spend time watching NASCAR and dirt track race cars and fishing. He loved good music and listened to everything from country and rock and roll to contemporary. He was an excellent cook and could grill the best ribs. He was an avid OU fan and never missed the chance to support his favorite team. He played the lottery and always dreamed of “hitting the big jackpot.” Of all the past times, his children and grandchildren were the best part of his life, he adored them. You always knew when he was nearby, you heard the laugh and could tell where he stood on any subject. He passed from this life on July 22nd, 2026, at his home in Kansas, OK. He was 60 years old and will be greatly missed by his many friends and loved ones.
