

Jerry Lee Pack was born on April 16th, 1944 on Hungry Mountain in northeastern Oklahoma, the son of John and Anna May (Norvell) Pack. He attended school until it became necessary for him to assist his family, the most important people in the world to Jerry. He married Carolyn May Jackson and together, they raised a family of two sons and two daughters, Linda, Gerie, David and Daniel. Jerry, or “Papa” to his family and friends, worked as a maintenance man at NSU and Sequoyah School as well as a mechanic out at Carters Automotive. Besides being really good with a car, Jerry loved to spend a day outdoors, hunting, fishing, or at a turkey shoot. Jerry was blessed with a really wonderful sense of humor , he loved a good practical joke. He always spoke to every person he met, and treated everyone with dignity and respect. Jerry’s door was always open to friends and kinfolk as well as the stranger. Jerry was truly happy when spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was amazed by all the things they did and the love they shared daily. A Christian by faith, Jerry was called home from his labors on Monday, January 3rd, 2011 at Tahlequah with his family by his side. He was 67 years old. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, one brother, Emmitt Pack, one grandson, Adam Sissom, and one nephew, Charles Pack.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn of the home. He leaves his four children, Linda Jessie of Woodall, Gerie Sissom and husband Billy of Hulbert, OK, David Pack and wife Sherry of Grand View, OK, and Daniel Pack of Woodall, OK. Jerry leaves two brothers, Melvin Pack of Dry Creek and Charlie Pack of Adair County, OK.and three sisters, Louise Wofford of Nowata, Sue Deckard and husband Tommy of Steeley Hollow, and Patricia King and husband Larry of Hominy, OK. Jerry’s legacy lives on in his 13 grandchildren, Chrissy Hawkins, Kiah Pritchett, Lance Pritchett, Cody Pritchett, Christopher Sissom, Jereme Baffuna, Andy Baffuna, Cody Blakey, Dustin Pack, Austin Pack, Hunter Pack, Felisha Sparks, and Matthew Sparks. Jerry also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighborhood kids, as well as many friends and loved ones.
